Welcome back to the Autumn term
Dear Parents and Carers
What a wonderful start to the academic year we have had!
Firstly, I would like to thank the amazing staff here for their hard work in setting up the school and playground ready for the beginning of the year. The school looks superbly fresh and organised ready for new learning. A great job!
It was delightful to see the children arriving so keenly to school on Wednesday. They were all willing to tell me their names and talk about new things in their lives and their summer holidays. The Year 1 and 2 children have enjoyed reconnecting with each other, particularly out on the playground. Our new Reception children have settled in beautifully and are beginning to make friends already. Have a look at the photographs below to see how the children got on.
We also welcomed our new Class 1 teacher, Mrs Morgan, to school this week on Thursday and Friday. She is working closely with Mrs Bundy to ensure consistency across the week for the children. I hope that she will be very happy here.
Our topic this half term is geography based on our local area and the people in our world, so keep an eye out in the weekly newsletters to see what we have been learning and doing. I will also be sharing more information on how you can support your children with their learning at home.
It has been lovely to meet you this week and I thank you for welcoming me to the school and area. I look forward to working further with you over this year.
Have a lovely weekend.
With best wishes,
Mrs Sarah Pitt
