Colour Monster

The Colour Monster came to visit us.

Puppet Show

Class 1 really enjoyed the Puppet Show 'East of the Sun, West of the Moon'. The theatre company 'Fetch' used Bunraku puppetry which is a Japanese traditional puppet theatre in which half-life-sized dolls act out a chanted dramatic narrative. The show had no words and the children engaged with the puppets to let their imagination show them the story being told. It really was enchanting. The children had many questions to ask following the show.

As our theme this half of term was 'Castles' we all had a fabulous time during our visit to Stafford Castle.

Harvest - Our visit to St Andrew's Church

Welcome

All new pupils were invited to participate in a welcome assembly. We shared what they have enjoyed in their first couple of weeks and presented them with a gift of a book to share and enjoy with their families at home.

Snow

The children in school had a wonderful time enjoying the snow we had this week. They were able to explore the snow with a wide variety of activities.

They enjoyed Maths outside when looking at capacity, they filled containers to identify when they were full or empty. One of the most interesting activities was the painting of snow, it was fascinating to see the results. We had children at home during lockdown send us some wonderful photos of their snowmen that they built and painted.

We found it interesting to see what happened to the snow when we brought it inside the classroom.  Everyone had lots of fun!
