Today every child in our school has been given a book "We Are All Born Free".
This book is an illustrated child’s version of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Many of the illustrators are familiar to the children.
Each week in assemblies we will be considering one of the Human Rights. They are each called articles.
This week we have talked about Articles 1 and 2 and how we are all different but the same.
We will let you know on the Newsletter the Article for the following week. Next week we will look at Article 27 "We have a right to our own way of life, and to enjoy the good things that science and learning bring."
The book and the assemblies will help children to understand how to work, learn and play with each other.
Please use the book with your child to talk about how The Universal Human Rights relate to them.
