Today we celebrated the Queen’s 90th Birthday in style with the children coming dressed as members of the royal family as well as Kings and Queens from the past.
Adding to the fun and celebration the children ‘blinged’ their bikes and scooters turning them into chariots, horses and even the Queen herself.
As we are taking part in the national Big Pedal Challenge and Last year came first in Telford and Wrekin and first in the West Midlands. We appreciate the support of all parents, grandparents, carers and all the children in participating in the Big Pedal Event. Today a fabulous 96% of children brought their bikes or scooters to school. This is wonderful, so please continue with all your efforts.
We also had a special assembly with visitors from the Telford and Wrekin’s Road Safety Team. They awarded raffle prizes and prizes for the best decorated bike and scooter. Well done to the winners and to everyone who took part. The team talked to the children about road safety.
Mrs Cusack Headteacher said “Cycling and scooting to school is part of the healthy lifestyle we hope to promote and encourage the children to develop early on in their lives”.
The big Pedal Challenge continues up to April the 29th, so keep on biking and scooting!
