As part of our 'Marvellous Me' topic we have looked at how we keep ourselves clean and why we need to wash our hands.
We thought about what makes us special and where we belong, we then discussed our thoughts and ideas.
We listened to the story Knuffle Bunny by Mo Willems and talked about the characters, the setting, problems and solutions encountered in the story. The children then designed a story map and told their own story about losing a special toy of their own.
In cooking we used spreading, cutting and chopping techniques to make our own individual open Knuffle Bunny sandwich.
Following on from the Knuffle Bunny story the children drew their own pictures of Knuffle Bunny and him going through the washing machine.
We went on a number hunt around school to find different ways in which numbers are represented and displayed.
Maths - Reception
We have been finding objects to match a number.
Here are just a few photos from just a few activities the new reception children have been doing in their first week.
