Children's Artwork September 2017 - July 2018

Easter

We used flannels to create lovely bunny egg holders.

Eric Carle

We used painted and textures paper to cut out to create pictures in the style of Eric Carle.

Hundertwasser - Onion Domes

We looked at the onion domed buildings and tried to draw the tricky dome shape ourselves and then create our own buildings.

Hundertwasser - 745 Blobs Grow in Beloved Gardens

We looked at the artwork of the Austrian born artist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser. HE was considered a  "colourist" painter, as bold, bright colours were an essential part of his work. We studied the painting "745 Blobs Grow in Beloved Gardens" and tried to recreate the trees in our own style.

A Tree in a Sunset collage

We used inks and paper to create some beautiful bright Winter tree pictures.

Leaf Art

Children created big art pictures using leaves from outside and used punches to cut out shapes from leaves to create pictures.

Wallis Kandinsky

We looked at the work of the Russian painter and art theorist Wallis Kandinsky who was one of the pioneers of abstract modern art. We studied his concentric circles artwork and recreated our own version of this using bright coloured felts and paints.
