Breakfast Club Assistant

NJC Scale 1 £7.78 per hour

5 hours per week – 7:50am to 8:50am, Monday to Friday, Term Time only

 

In this role you will assist with the smooth running of our Breakfast Club, ensuring that we offer a high quality provision including providing a healthy breakfast and varied activities for pupils to enjoy in a relaxed and calm environment.

 

This will include setting up the Breakfast Club area before the club starts, preparing and serving food, co-ordinating games and activities, interacting with the children and ensuring there is a good standard of behaviour. You will also assist with tidying and cleaning the Breakfast Club area and kitchen at the end of the session, and any administrative duties as required.

 

To be successful you will need a Food Hygiene qualification, or a willingness to obtain one, and experience of working with groups of children in an educational setting to organise games and activities and manage behaviour. You will also have good communication skills, and a knowledge of healthy eating, health and safety and safeguarding.

 

Assistant Lunchtime Supervisor

NJC Scale 1 £7.78 per hour

6.25 hours per week – 12:00pm to 1:15pm, Monday to Friday, Term Time only

 

In this role you will be responsible for supervising children during their lunch and lunch break, across all of our indoor and outdoor areas. You will provide and ensure safe play activities, monitoring and managing behaviour and administering first aid as necessary. You will also ensure that children are washing their hands before eating, and supervise the lunch period whilst children are eating, providing assistance as necessary.

 

To be successful you will have experience of working with children, ideally in a similar role, and experience of organising and supervising games and activities and managing behaviour. A first aid qualification or a willingness to obtain one is a requirement of this role. You will also have good communication skills and knowledge of health and safety and safeguarding requirements.

 

Both posts are designated customer facing roles under the fluency duty and require a specified level of spoken English as stated in the person specification.
