School visit to Chetwynd Deer Park.

Everyone enjoyed a tractor ride to see the deer; studied trees by examining their leaves and bark and gathered lots of natural objects to remember the day.

Following our visit to Chetwynd Deer Park we identified features of maps.

Close observations of leaves

We collected a variety of Autumn leaves and carefully sketched and painted these. We looked closely at the different shapes and colours to create our artwork.

Arthog Outreach Centre Activity Day

Class 2 visited the Arthog Outreach Centre in Wellington to take part in outdoor adventurous activities. The children worked in teams to enjoy various challenges. They developed skills of co-operation to achieve the group goals. The challenges involved working together, using their physical skills of agility, balance and determination. It was a successful visit and many children exceeded their own expectations on what they are able to achieve.
